Connecting Food and Wellbeing
“What we eat can influence how we feel, but supporting our wellbeing does not have to begin with a complicated plan.”
In a recent CH2 (Celebrate Hilton Head) article, “Food for Thought,” Jennifer Tucker joins other local wellness professionals in a conversation about food, mental wellbeing, and the value of slowing down to notice our daily habits.
Jennifer, a certified integrative nutrition health coach and gut health coach, encourages eating a variety of whole, minimally processed foods and paying attention to signals such as hunger, fullness, energy, and digestion. Her advice offers an approachable place to start: reduce ultra-processed foods and added sugar, then notice how different foods make you feel. “Our bodies are always giving us information.”
